Holly was divorced at least three times. When she first got married, it was to Danny Quinn. In 1991 they married, but two years later, they divorced. Jim Carrey met her in 1994 during his Ace Ventura Pet Detective auditions. Though she wasn't given the part, they formed a close relationship when filming Dumb and Dumber. The couple married in 1996. Following a brief relationship, they divorced in 1997. The couple got married to Francis Greco who was born Canadian. She became Canadian after 2008, when she was married to Greco. The year 1992 was the time that Holly along with her father Grant and her family created their own A Fund at Hobart and William Smith Colleges in memory of her brother Alexander, about whom Holly stated, "He was a boy full of dreams, hope and goals. Even though he was just 14 at the time of his death He had travelled extensively in Europe as well as Central America, lived in New York City and Los Angeles These experiences resulted in a passion for architecture and archaeology.

Alaina was born the 8th November 1994 in the home of Kristy and J. J. Suddeth from Rossville, Georgia. Alaina began to sing at the age of three years old. Her first public appearance in a child's choir as well as at a karaoke venue during a family holiday. Alongside singing in restaurants and in the church, she also sang for holidays, family reunions and other gatherings in addition to anyplace outside of a 30 mile range. Alaina, at the age eight, was the winner of the Southern Stars Pageant Talent Competition. Following that year, Alaina was asked to perform on the festival's Riverbend Kids Talent Stage. The festival allowed the contest on its main stage at age 12 because she performed there every year. At the age of 10 she travelled from Florida from Florida to Orlando for the purpose of competing at the American Model and Talent Competition. She managed to defeat over 1500 contestants during the contest. Alaina sang in the Georgia Country Gospel Music Association's kids' chorus. The first time she visited Nashville was when she was of 12 years old. Also, she performed at local bars such as Tootsie's in Broadway. Alaina won the title of the first winning Lake Winnepesaukah's WinniSTAR Youth Talent Contest in 2009. She wrote and performed several songs, including Leaving, Set Me Free, as well. Alaina, Holly Witherow's cousin who has a cancerous brain tumor, inspired her to sing. Alaina was a CiC's Pizza employee before she joined Idol. She went to Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe in Fort Oglethorpe Georgia as a cheerleader.
