Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been an outstanding psychologist since 1993 and director for the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely acclaimed for pioneering the study of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in the legal setting. Professor Goodman who is a prolific author with a wide range of papers and awards to her credit and is the recipient of a variety of international and national distinctions. She has collaborated with numerous governments and organizations all over the world to conduct studies and policy issues pertaining to children who have been victimized by the justice system. She currently acts as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center located at Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of numerous professional organizations, including those of the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Children and Families policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is also a part of Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has served as president of 3 divisions (Division Society for Policy on Child and Family and Practice Division, American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology) and one section (Child Maltreatment) of the American Psychological Association.
